Fine art boudoir photography in Newcastle — PART ONE

**Before your Boudoir Session**
Having photos taken of yourself can be very daunting (especially boudoir!) I’m here to make your experience as easy and fun as I can. After all, doing something like this for yourself can feel foreign if you’ve been putting everyone else first for so long!
Hopefully you’ve received and read through our Boudoir Bible. If you would like a copy, please get in touch and I’d be happy to share it with you!
I’m interested to know WHY you want this for yourself. What is it about a portraiture shoot that intrigues you? We’ll set up a phone call and this is to help me guide you through every step of the process, help you understand what to expect, how to prepare, the inclusions, and of course tell you about our incredible albums and wall art specialty.
Once you book your session, (I’m excited just thinking about it!) we will then send you some extra FAQ, some skin/hair hints and tips, some clothing advice and we set up a mood board to help guide you through what to wear. This helps to get clarity on the small stuff and so that you are confident heading into the session and we can spend more time on the shoot day having a great time!

PART TWO

Your Boudoir Session
Your session day! You will start with the amazing Hair and Makeup artist and be in the chair for about an hour to an hour and a half. We have refreshments, snacks, music, candles - the whole shebang! And everything is tailored to you (that handy little questionnaire gives us the goods!)
When it comes to the shoot - the fun begins! We’ve by now spoken about your outfit choices and we will most likely start with something you feel most comfortable in until you’ve found your groove, and then end with the show-stopping piece! You get access to our client closet (via our bonus system!) Our closet is growing all the time and currently have a few robes, the wings, goddess gowns (tulle) and accessories!
I give you full guidance for poses and what to do with those arms! I’ve been posing brides and other boudoir clients for aaaages so you’re in safe hands! Thanks to that handy questionnaire again, you will be confident knowing that I’ve definitely got your needs and wants in mind and making you some damn good fine art portraits of yourself. Wahoo!

PART THREE

The Big Reveal
After your boudoir session is done, we have one more session with you about 7 days later, (woo champagne anyone?) and you will be wowed.
I’ll walk you through this bit as well, but this is the BEST. This is where you get to see yourself the way you envisioned and certainly the way I did! This is where you can decide which collection you want to end up with, what power portraits we are ordering and a look at how it will all sit within an album.
We offer prepayments plans, PAYRIGHT, PAYPAL, CASH, EFT and Credit Card.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Hopefully, it’s been asked here for you to find, but I’m open to any question so please drop me a line if there’s something not covered here!

Where will my session be? What if I want to use an Air BNB or my own home?

The session is held in a quaint little natural light studio that is well lit and private. It has all the comforts that make your session the experience we give. It is temperature-controlled and has enough light to manipulate. It has room for multiple sets and fits our client closet and has a bathroom. If you are considering your home, please let me know in our initial phone conversation or via the magic questionnaire. I’m not opposed to home shoots, but it doesn’t change the cost of the session fee, and sometimes light can be tricky as quite often, bedrooms and other areas of the house aren’t well lit and/or have the room I need to provide you with quality fine art images. We are open to you hiring an Air BNB (at your own cost) but again, just taking into account the space and light of the rooms to be photographed in.

Do I have to get nude and do you shoot p0rn?

No and No. I have never asked anyone to go nude, and wouldn’t. It’s solely up to you and the photographs you choose to have, but even a nude shoot will be very tastefully done. I will never shoot anything even remotely resembling an adult movie.

Will my images be shared on social media or anywhere else online?

Absolutely not. In our contract, it states that this is a confidential and private photoshoot. Consent will be asked if you are open to me sharing online for marketing purposes. If you are confident in sharing the images, (remember, empowered women, empower women. Cliche but true!) then we are super happy to have your gorgeous self on our marketing (website, socials, ebooks) but if you choose not to, then that is 100% respected and ok.

Can I use my wedding hair and makeup artist trial for the shoot? or Can I do my own hair and makeup?

We have the hair and makeup included in each and every session. Basically, it’s foolproof. I know how it photographs, it’s not a ‘trial’, and it’s done to a particular standard. It’s not completely a no, but the session fee remains the same if you use someone else or our own quality, professional Hair and Makeup Artist. Plus, take this opportunity to be pampered. Enjoy getting made up (well, enhanced. This is not a makeover)

What is a reveal session exactly and what will I be ordering?

This is a scheduled session where you come and we drink more coffee or wine, and go through your stunning set of images. I hope you love viewing them as much as you had fun taking them! I want you to just soak it in and admire yourself as you’ve wanted to be seen, enjoy the fine art images and really fully appreciate how beautiful you are in this moment. You will be ordering from the set menu (just kidding, I can’t cook AND photograph) but you will be choosing from different packages, we go through the products, see some samples, and we order which images and items you like! You also choose here how you would like to purchase.
